You know if you have ever read anything that I have written on tillage and farming I preach the idea of what compaction does to yields. If you are a vegetable producer, more than likely you wonder how compaction effects you. If you run a rototiller you would think at first I am eliminating my compaction because I have loosened the ground completely. You are right at that minute. The unfortunate consequence of your action is you have pulverized the soil to where it re-compacts very easily. After this, you expose your dirt to foot traffic. You pack it down on daily bases. You do this year after year and the lower layer (deeper thank what your tiller can dig) will get harder and harder. In two words: soil damage. This will also reduce soil health in more ways than just the compaction itself. The soil basically suffocates by pushing out the necessary air promoting anaerobic bacteria which are the bad bacteria. This, in turn, decreases the aerobic bacteria which is the good bacteria.
This is where our FarmBuilt CR 5.0 comes in. By opening the soil down deeper, it allows the air in where it needs to be for all that is required for proper soil health to bring your soil back to life. Then there are the drainage issues you have created with the compacted soil and our tillage tools will do an excellent job of dealing with this.
I personally have never let what others say or do influence what I know is possible. If someone says I cannot it becomes a challenge to me. I never stop trying to improve on whatever I am doing. No matter what job I have ever done and no matter what I feel, I look back and learn something from it.
